Kibrel will listen, answer out loud, and turn its head and move its arms as it talks. It is being built now, one careful step at a time.

Where it stands today
Kibrel is not for sale and there is no finished robot. Here is exactly what is real right now.
What it will do
The first Kibrel is deliberately small: it stays on a table and does not walk.
Say something and it answers aloud. The plan is for speech recognition and the voice to run on the robot's own hardware.
A head that turns and tilts and two arms that gesture, so talking to it feels less like talking to a speaker.
A clear light whenever the microphone is on, and nothing remembered unless you say so.
How it will work
Each stage is separate, so each can be tested alone. The last one is the only stage that touches a motor.
The plan
No dates are promised. Each step has to work before the next begins.
Done
Kibrel has its name, and its motion and safety software runs and is tested in simulation.
Now
A microphone, a speaker and a Raspberry Pi. No motors yet.
Then
Four small motors, each with its limits measured on the bench first.
Then
A simple shell, and the first photo and video.
